'Arkup #1' Not 'Floating Structure' After All, Taxmen Concede
Miami-Dade County sent the owner a bill for $121,000 in taxes, so MacKnight International filed a lawsuit in Circuit Court against the Miami-Dade tax collector and assessor. The latter were asserting that Arkup #1 is a “floating structure,” which means it could be taxed like a house.
It’s took six months, but preditably Miami-Dade caved.
